Conference Travel Support

Currently Funded Turner Fellows can apply for up to $1,200 in funds to support their attendance and participation as a presenter in professional conferences. Students may apply for a maximum of $1,200 per fiscal year which can be divided across a maximum of two conferences.

A call for applications is sent to currently funded fellows on a biannual basis. For each call period a priority deadline date is established. Any applications for conference support received after the priority deadline date will be reviewed on a funds available basis.

Application Process

Fill out and submit the application for conference travel support by the priority deadline date or at least one month prior to the conference date
Include a synopsis of your scheduled presentation and a receipt for registration to attend the conference

An application requesting conference travel is not a guarantee of funds. Students awarded conference travel support will receive an award decision letter from the Turner office two weeks after receipt of a complete conference application request.
