The Turner Fellowship program has had a tremendous impact on my graduate experience at Stony Brook. The program has been the most positive aspect of my career here at the University. When I think about what the Turner Fellowship has meant to me, what comes to mind is its unofficial motto, “Whatever you need.” I have experienced this motto in action in the Fellowship’s support of my research, the availability and receptiveness of the faculty and staff who are charged with managing the program, the program’s efforts at building networks between fellows, and its aid with any
bumps that come up along the road towards completing graduate work.
