Being a Turner Fellow is about more than receiving financial assistance to complete a terminal degree. The faculty and mentors involved with the fellowship consistently inspire us and provide guidance and encouragement with deepest sincerety. They believe in us and make sure that we are aware of our tremendous potential as contributors to academia and society at large. Our unique gifts and talents are celebrated and refined through personalized, individual interactions, as well as through forums, colloquia, and social discourse. It is indeed an honor and a privilege to be a Turner Fellow. I will cherish this experience for the rest of my life.
